The longhorn’s gentle nature, varied coloring and horn, and ties to Spanish-American history drew us to the breed. Being in their company, we connect to a piece of that living history. Our aim is to be great stewards of this iconic American original and see if we can breed something extraordinary, make our mark, and, along the way, dine on the best beef America can put on a plate.

Proud members of the TX Longhorn Breeders Association, the Connecticut Farm Bureau, and Connecticut Grown.

“Best beef in America”

Chef Gordon Ramsay prepares a Texas Longhorn ribeye and eggs. Just like we like to do it here at 100 Acre Wood.
